French Door Refrigerator With Ice Maker Review

Melding form with function, French-door refrigerators come with stylish double doors that open up to an expansive fridge on the top and a freezer drawer beneath. Special features like through-the-door dispensers, ice machines with higher-end features and flex drawers that can be customized make them stand out from the crowd.

We consulted Ladina Schopf - an interior designer, architect, and founder of LS Projects - for her suggestions on how to pick the right home. They looked at storage capacity, layout and energy efficiency, among other factors.

GE Profile Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

Like its name implies, the GE Profile series is targeted at those who wish to incorporate cutting-edge technologies into their kitchen. This fridge is loaded with them all, from the Keurig K cup coffee maker inside the door, to a clever dispenser of water. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. Since this refrigerator is an extra amount, I'd like to see better.

This fridge is a good choice, despite the blip. It has a large freezer compartment that is not common for counter-depth French door fridges. It also holds a lot of frozen food, which is a big difference from other models.

Inside the fridge, there are 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet, which is the standard for a fridge with a French door at this price. It also has a decent-sized icemaker in the left-hand door, although it's not the largest I've seen.

You can adjust the shelving in both compartments to create customized storage arrangement for whatever you have to keep. The GE PYE22PYNFS's interior design is good-looking, too. Its LED lighting is a nice touch, and the in-door storage bins feature an additional shelf that folds up beneath itself so that you can store large items. The drawers are equipped with temperature controls so you can set them to Meat, Beverage, or Deli settings. The drawers are simple to shut and open, but I found the plastic's textured coatings to be a bit rough on my fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator includes the full suite of features you'd expect from a refrigerator at this price with Wi-Fi and app support through GE's SmartHQ software. The app is available for iOS and Android devices and allows you to manage your refrigerator from anywhere in the globe. It also has a lot of customization options. It also gives you notifications when doors are left open, when the refrigerator or freezer needs defrosting and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice to have GE PYE22PYNFS could offer Precise Fill which is a feature available in a handful of GE refrigerators that allows users to choose the amount of cups they wish to disperse. The fridge displays a countdown timer to display how much water is left but it's not as useful as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth french style fridges Door Refrigerator

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is a stunning piece of equipment. It's designed to look like a seamless piece in your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a vegetable compartment to keep vegetables and fruits fresher longer, and two compressors for maximum food preservation. The Ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient and makes pyramid shaped ice using minimal water. This refrigerator is ideal for a single household or a kitchenette that wants an attractive design and top of the line food preservation.

This fridge was the top-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators Test for various reasons. Its freezer temperatures held firm at just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit, never moving more than a fraction one degree. This is crucial in preventing freezer burn. The refrigerator section of the refrigerator also performed well. It reached the initial temperature within a matter of hours, and remained at the temperature throughout our tests.

Bosch is known for its high-end appliances. Therefore, it's no surprise that the Bosch counter depth fridge can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's platform Home Connect. This app lets you monitor and control your fridge from your smartphone or tablet. The refrigerator is expensive, but it offers excellent features and functionality for the cost.

While the fridge is an amazing appliance, it's important to know the limitations. It is possible to be inventive with tall items since the fridge has a small shelf space. Also the shelves aren't completely sprillproof, and can easily be stained or damaged by sharp objects. The trays are easily removed from the refrigerator. LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The LG LRFLC2706S counter-depth refrigerator is a great option for those who need lots of space within an extremely compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge features a standard integrated french style fridge freezer door design, and two rows of shelving with spill-capture and a set crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded down to give tall items more headroom. There's also a full-width drawer for food items and an internal water dispenser.

The refrigerator comes with an ice maker, making it easy to transfer the frozen ice as needed. The freezer has thoughtful design elements, for instance, sliding drawers to help you better organize the position of items. It also has a large bin that can accommodate plenty of frozen food and an additional container for storing ice.

Smart InstaView panel is another awesome feature of the refrigerator. You can control the temperature, lighting, and other aspects of your fridge using your smartphone. It's a nice method of monitoring and managing your refrigerator, especially if you're away from home.

However, while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it doesn't necessarily add to the overall performance of the refrigerator. In fact, it took longer to defrost and chill foods in this fridge than other refrigerators we tested. This could be due to the bigger capacity.

The other issue we have with this refrigerator is its doors. They have handles that are sunken on the front that allow shorter people to easily pull them open from the bottom, however they're still difficult for taller people to pull closed without slamming them. It would have been better if they came with a front-mounted handle.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a ideal choice for those who want to combine the benefits of a fridge with a French door with an efficient layout. Its capacity is above average for a counter-depth model and it cools evenly and has a good layout. It's also a bit less than the top counter-depth refrigerator with an ice maker, which can make it an attractive option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a good choice if you want a french door fridge only no freezer (a cool way to improve)-door refrigerator that doesn't cost a lot of budget. It's a basic fridge that might not be as appealing like some of its competitors, but it still has enough features to make a an excellent choice. Its most significant feature, the temperature adjustable drawer, helps to keep food like meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water dispenser, as well as an excellent ice maker that operates quickly.

The "Chill Drawer", which is situated above the two crisper bins, is a great feature. The drawer lets you direct some of your fridge's cooling power to the area so that you can store foods which need extra attention. You can alter this feature using the slider located on the outside of the drawer. You can also use this feature to set a general cooling level for the whole fridge, though I've found that adjusting the generic settings tends to produce better results than specific ones.

During my tests, the refrigerator's temperatures were fairly constant across the different areas of the fridge. Temperatures in the top and bottom of the fridge didn't stray very far from 38 degrees, and even the middle of the fridge was within one degree of 36. That's a good performance however it doesn't rank among the best french fridge freezer uk in our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. The fridge can be linked with a smart thermostat in order to get more accurate readings on the internal temperature of your fridge.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's exterior is constructed of stainless steel with a grey-bodied body that has a "smudge-proof" finish. It wards off streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've tried.
