Side-by-Side

These are the most common type of double pushchair that can typically seat 2 children side-by-side. They are generally wider than single pushchairs. Tandem

If you plan to have twins, you'll need a tandem pushchair. This will allow both children to sit together and look at each one another. They are perfect for visiting the zoo, as children can watch the animals together. They're also ideal for parents who must keep one eye on their toddler and the other eye on their infant because they can see both of them simultaneously.

Some tandem pushchairs are very flexible, as they can be converted back to single mode. This is especially useful if you're planning to have more than two children (or only your oldest child doesn't need a buggy anymore).
