The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices can let you control your fridge from anywhere in world, and it has a ton of customization options. It also sends you notifications when the door is left unlocked as well as when the freezer or fridge requires defrosting, and when the filter requires a change.

It would be nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS included Precise fill, an option available in a few other GE fridges that allows you to set the number of cups of water you'd like to disperse at once. It does offer an indicator on the display of the fridge to show how much water you have remaining, but that's not as effective as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also boasts a veggie compartment that helps keep fruits and vegetables fresher longer and has dual compressors to ensure the best preservation of food. The ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient, and it produces the shape of a pyramid using only water. This fridge is perfect for a small household or a kitchenette that wants an attractive design and top of the best food preservation.

It has a capacity that is above average for counter-depth models and also cools evenly. It's also a bit cheaper than the most expensive counter depth refrigerators that have an ice maker, which makes it a desirable choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's outside is made of stainless steel with a grey-bodied body which has a "smudge-proof" finish. It does a great job of repelling fingerprints and streaks even when compared with glossy stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tested.
